High-Light: Estelle Hanania

Estelle Hanania, french photographer, takes some insanely disturbing pictures. But there is an emotional dichotomy to her work as well, I am repulsed by them, but also attracted. She stretches the limits, and seems to break through the blurry line of what innovation is in photography today. Her work is fun and strange - ranging from body painted models, hands on fire, and people covered in grass. I really like
that she is obviously creating a staged scene, and that there seems to be no bullshit about her work - very refreshing. Below are some examples of my favorites:
